Here are just few challenges the Church in perilous times will be facing:
- The Church must wrestle with a word mind set that is increasingly circular in nature, humanistic and modernized; open to old practices.
- The Church must deal with economic and political breakdown on an increasing scale worldwide, which causes people to experience deep fear and lack of trust in anything.
- The Church will probably make many changes with its mission, vision and philosophy in the next ten to twenty years. The traditional missionary approach as seen in the 1700's through 1900's will need improvement
- The Church must fight hard to maintain the basic spiritual values and truth that people 30 to 50 years ago readily accepted.
- The Church would be challenged to actually produce what she has promised in the area of relationships, spiritual power over sin and demonic powers, healing and deep unity of spirit.
- The Church may need to train its leadership at homes, as seminaries and universities become increasingly more irrelevant with anti-Bible inspiration.
- This will necessitate thinking through what really prepares the leader to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
- We know this is found in Christ, but we know how to minister Christ.
- The Church will face a culture with no deep seated respect for the local Church. This includes the growing presence of shaking loyalty of some Church members...
